Another berry hat and a pair of baby booties

They are all turning 1 now, and since I made this lovely blueberry hat for Simon I decided to make a hat for Piet as well. But Piet gets an orange hat.

When I started it yesterday my boyfriend asked if it was to become a pumpkin, but I decided it is an orange! I just got the information though from Simon's mom, that his hat could be a bit longer to fit over the ears. I suppose I will have to consider that for future berry hats.

I am in the middle of a creative time right now, and so I started to knit a pair of baby booties this morning. Our neighbors are expecting a baby boy in 3 or 4 weeks and I wanted to make something for the new baby there. And I found this sweet baby booties pattern on Ravelry that I tried out. It was so easy to knit, I am allready finished.  They look a bit small though, I don't remember how small the newborn baby feet are, but I hope they will fit at least until X-Mas.

Blueberry hat

One of my son's friends turned 1 the other day, and today we met up with him and his mother. I had knitted a blueberry hat for him using this pattern. Simon looked great in it and his mom was quite happy about it as well. Now I have to make one more for Piet, but I think it will be an Orange hat or maybe an Apple hat. Piet uses a lot more happy colors :-)

While Tristan is sleeping I started crocheting circles for this cushion. I have some pink, hot pink and turquise blue cotton yarn and white of course. That I will use for this one. The back will probably be just white cotton fabric.

Needlecase and unfinished projects

I finished the needlecase which holds 10 sets of doublepointed needles and various round needles as well. Now I can start searching for all the needles that are in different boxes and bags in my house. Finally I will have one place to keep them all!
I am thinking of making one more for the crochethooks, but that will have to wait. I have so many projects in my head that I want to make, and the more I see the more I want to make. I am trying to find things to do where I can use up all the old yarns and fabrics that I have and never knew what to do with. I need to use up all the old material before I buy new.

I have this totally soft Lana Grossa yarn in purple. It is mohair and something else and I just started to make this cardigan with it.

I hope to finish before the winter is over!

I also started this baby afghan that needs two more rows of rainbow to finish. It is croched in merino superwash wool and totally soft for the winterbaby to come. I have another 15 weeks to finish it.

Another of my started projects is a diaper-clutch. I can't stand these huge bags that some moms carry around to fit in the complete nursery room. I made the experience with my first baby, that all I need is my perfectly normal handbag, and a clutch or case with 2-3 diapers and an extra body. I will now make one for my sister who is due in january.

I have some more unfinished projects that I may, or may not finish. If I do pick them up again I will post pictures.

It is raining

My boyfriend has put up a temporary desk in our livingroom to ba able to navigate and study for his sailors exam. I have now taken over the desk to be my workplace. This is where I do my homeoffice, and I do some sewing here at the moment. I surf the internet and get 5 million ideas what I could start as my next project. But all in due time!

Last weekend we strolled a fleamarket and I found this piece of fabric. Now I will make a needlecase out of it to hold my knitting needles. If it turns out good I am thinking of making one more to hold my crochet hooks as well.

Outside it is raining and I have to leave in half an hour to pick up my little boy. So let's get started with Project Needlecase!
